AAA costs about $200/year for our family. It comes with 100 miles free towing for each tow. Given my experiences in March and last Friday I’d say it’s a steal.

    I agree with you completely. We just had a bit of a tussle with my car this afternoon, that was greatly simplified by the ability to call AAA (and the latter, in turn, was greatly simplified by the fact that we had not twenty minutes earlier set up new cell phone accounts).
