Profit Distribution

Last week the guys over at the Volokh Conspiracy went pro, and had to decide on a profit sharing scheme. The eventually settled on splitting the profit in proportion to the sum of the square root of the word count of each of each author’s articles.

Anyone follow that?

I’m going to give them 6 months, then I’m going to do “before” and “after” word count analysis of each author. I may also do a subjective quality evaluation. This data will be important when we decide how we’re going to work profit sharing here at the collaboration.

If anyone from VC is reading this, remember that every time you break a long post into two short posts, you get a 41% bonus!

Tom: Too bad they didn’t decide on the square of the word count instead.
    Cosmo: why is that?
Tom: Because then they wouldn’t use so many complex words! Ha Ha Ha!
